I saw La La Land a couple of weeks ago, and I was absolutely surprised at how much I loved it! Having grown up in L.A. and lived there for most of my life, I was curious about how the city would be portrayed in the movie. I also was kind of afraid it would be a predictable sugary-sweet love story.
Well, I’m glad to say that story was really well written and the acting, superb. I won’t give away any spoilers in case you haven’t seen it. Just trust me, if you like musicals, you need to see this movie.
Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone did a great job with the score written by Justin Hurwitz. The music was married really well to the script and set the perfect mood. I couldn’t stop hearing it in my head long after I had left the theater. So I decided to make a couple of piano arrangements and tutorials just for fun. Turns out, they are quickly becoming some of my most popular videos.
